The end of our solo act awards, solo song of the year, we’ve had a massive amount of contenders with so many gen 3 groups only just getting their soloists forward to duke it out with the gen 2 idols, will the young guns take it, or is this category still in the hands of the vets?

We’re taking a break in the Manelies to do an all time list of our personal favorite Christmas songs, no winners, no losers, just some Christmas cheer. Merry Christmas everybody!

The second in our trilogy of solo-act related content, this time we look at the best female soloists this year. This list, luckily, was a little cleaner cut than the last one.

We’re into the two day soloist block of our year end awards. And to lead the charge are the men, who will be the last man standing though, the best of the year, well, our panel came to a conclusion, and you can find out what that is inside the article. (Hint: I don’t think any of the panelists expected the winner to be this artist.)

Rookie girl groups have been interesting this year, there have been a few major company debuts, but mostly smaller companies throwing a decent number of groups into the mix, which means, as with the rookie boy groups, this one gets a little messy. Let’s see how it all worked out!

We are starting to move into the big awards of the year, it terms of rookie boy groups, I had no idea what to expect from our panel, well, except the top two, I saw those coming, although in a different order than they ended up.
