This week the taste of winter trip ends and a new trip begins. What adventures will the members take us on this time?
A lot has changed since our last Homemade Love Story review, so we have a lot of opinions on the developments of the last few weeks, and we have most of them right here.
In a battle of sibling rivalry, Chelsea saw my original top 50 list and found it lacking, so we’re back now with hers! See which one you think is better, and look to see some of where our overlap and differences lie, it’s fun to compare and contrast tastes, and to accept everybody’s unique perspectives.
I’m so proud to present my top 50 songs of the year, this is something I always look forward to putting together every single year, and this year is no different. Well, one major difference is the top of the list felt very close compared to some previous years, but that’s only because everything was so amazing this year in terms of kpop music.
We are proud to present the biggest of all the awards in The Manelies, 2020 Kpop Song of the Year! Who among the dozens of incredible groups did we think put out the singe best song of them all? Let’s find out!
It’s time for the girl groups! Girl group of the year was here, it was an extremely competitive year for girl groups, with good release after good release, and a few months just stuffed full of amazing music. So, who one out across all these comebacks and amazing releases, we had one that managed to rise above the rest.
It’s time for the big awards of the year, starting with the best kpop boy group of 2020! Boys had an interesting year this year, but there was one that we ended up rating far above the rest. So read on and find out who the big winner is.
Part 2 of the double header, Celina’s songs for the pandemic. This one may be a little sadder, but let’s all look together towards brighter horizons in 2021!
Celina’s first article for the website and her personal list for the pandemic, well, one of them, we ended up splitting up the pair into a double feature just for readability. Ready to feel like a bad bitch, well, here’s your songs to get you in that powerful mood.
Album of the Year! This is actually our smallest category outside of ASMRtist of the year, so in such a strict landscape, what comes out on top?
The end of our solo act awards, solo song of the year, we’ve had a massive amount of contenders with so many gen 3 groups only just getting their soloists forward to duke it out with the gen 2 idols, will the young guns take it, or is this category still in the hands of the vets?
We’re taking a break in the Manelies to do an all time list of our personal favorite Christmas songs, no winners, no losers, just some Christmas cheer. Merry Christmas everybody!
The second in our trilogy of solo-act related content, this time we look at the best female soloists this year. This list, luckily, was a little cleaner cut than the last one.
We’re into the two day soloist block of our year end awards. And to lead the charge are the men, who will be the last man standing though, the best of the year, well, our panel came to a conclusion, and you can find out what that is inside the article. (Hint: I don’t think any of the panelists expected the winner to be this artist.)
Chelsea breaks down her personal category for the Manelies, best choreographies. She is definitely the biggest expert on dance in our panel, so having her take this one solo seemed like a great choice.
Rookie girl groups have been interesting this year, there have been a few major company debuts, but mostly smaller companies throwing a decent number of groups into the mix, which means, as with the rookie boy groups, this one gets a little messy. Let’s see how it all worked out!
We are starting to move into the big awards of the year, it terms of rookie boy groups, I had no idea what to expect from our panel, well, except the top two, I saw those coming, although in a different order than they ended up.
